Tormau
Earl Denyl Lynnaeus of Tormau is a central figure in the drama of Rethem circa 720. He has not yet sworn fealty to King Chafin III since the latter's ascension in 715; he built the keep at Weseda in 711 without royal approval in order to consolidate his holdings in the south of the realm; and, in 713, he seized Ithius from Earl Herrin Barzak of Ithiko's domain. Will he be brought to heel? Will he seek the throne in his own right or through that of his nephew and niece, Saval and Hesela Lynnaeus? Will he break away? Will he join in alliance with or even swear fealty to Kanday? Will he merely bide his time? We don't know; you tell us.
