New page templates
In some namespaces, templates are provided to guide the creation of new pages. Rather than using the default DokuWiki behavior of creating _template.txt
and __template.txt
files in the wiki's back end, the TemplatePageName plugin is used to make such files accessible to editors.
They often include much superfluous material to be deleted, like duplicate canon-or-fanon elements. Many points are tagged with smileys to remind editors that they need some attention.
Below are the new page templates that have been created, arranged by namespace. Further guidance for filling out each type is linked in each section below as well. Namespace templates on DokuWiki's site gives general template syntax .
Works templates
These are in the Works namespace and subnamespaces for adding new articles and the like. Most use the main template, but some sub-namespaces have more tailored variants. The works template procedure describes how to work with them.
Credits template
This is for a person's page in the Credits namespace. The one big quirk here is that each page is named with the person's first name first, but the top-level heading is last-name-first. A credits template procedure gives further guidance for working with it.
World templates
These are in the Hârn, Ivinia, etc. namespaces and carry through to their sub-namespaces, mostly to provide the headings at this time. These will see more developent as the “World” section is built out and the page layout is more fully determined.
Icons templates
These are for pages pertaining to the icons in use in the works:
namespace.
