The Free Campaign
Where, in all of HârnWorld, does one begin? As it happens, there is a lot of material offered for free. Much of it is fanon, available for download here at Lýthia.com. Some is even canon, pdfs available through Columbia Games, Inc. We'll start with a bit of the latter, , and work in selected documents from the former. This is enough to get started in the heart of Kaldor, and one can go in many directions from there.
Map issues
Alas, there is a problem at the outset. In the beginning of the section on Roganter, we read the following: “Other than tenants from Avocar, few folk journey to Roganter. Most traffic and trade is south to Stanen or west over hilly terrain to the hundred moot at Tyan.” Consulting k5, there is indeed a manor south of Roganter, but it is unmarked. OK, I cheated: that map isn't free, but it is highly recommended. I'll tell you more about other Hârn materials you may consider purchasing that could augment this campaign, should the hook set in your cheek. Searching for “Stanen” (yes, you can do that with these maps) shows the label to be seemingly misplaced atop the gray label for Niremos Hundred. Is that actually the case?
Thankfully, there is HârnForum, where people far more knowledgeable than your 'umble pseud go deep into the weeds of all things Hârn. Searching for “Stanen” there (register and log in to get the search box to appear) yields this apposite post, with three more errant labels likely situated: Aixla, Chymea, and Lestale.
This is where I get a bit naughty and show you part of the map in question. I've taken the liberty of editing my copy of Atlas Hârnica Map K5 (that's possible too; don't ask me how) and cropping a selection of it that depicts all four manor labels moved into their probable correct locations. You can't search this one, I'm afraid. This shows part of the map given on page 35 of the Kaldor Sampler—where you can just see the “TER” of Roganter at the left edge—and stretches it two half-hexes to the west where you can relate it better to the map on page 20 and Tashal.
